Telstra’s new Next G Greenfield site at Coomalbidgup East required full construction of the compound including major earth works.

The shelter was installed onto pier footings. Mast footings were constructed. Connection to Mains Power supply and the installation of a transmission lead in conduit.

All of this was successfully completed in accordance with the design drawings and Telstra Standards.

Work undertaken for ABC involved the successful relocation of two 1.5m and two 3.7m TVRO antennae from the existing studio buildings to the roof of the new studios in Perth CBD.

Due to the size of the antennae in question this work involved full de-commissioning, transport, refurbishment and re-installation in new ABC studios.

The upmost care had to be taken to ensure the antennae were all re-assembled to the highest standard due to the high specification set and the low tolerance required by the customers network.

We were contracted to complete the entire site works for the construction of two 7m Full Motion Mitsubishi Antenna and communication shelters at P.I.T.C. in Gnangara. This included extending alarms and intra communications with the PITC facility.

This Project involved full turnkey construction activities from:

• underground pit and pipe
• antenna construction and alignment
• shelter installation
• intra facility wave guide and cabling
• electrical power
• back up diesel generator
• fuel tank installation.

These two separate installations were successfully completed within the PITC facility compound located on the highly sensitive environmental location with no incidents.
